Beginner's Pumpkin Punch Needle Kit
Have you always wanted to try punch needle but didn't know where to begin? This kit is a great way to start! The kit includes the PDF pattern and a 30 minute video tutorial to walk you through everything you need to know to make this little punch needle mat or wall art. The kit also includes all of the materials needed to get started, so there is no need to gather materials yourself. Estimated arrival date: 9-18-25.
If you would like us to reserve you a kit while we wait for all of the supplies to come in, please email us at [email protected]
Size: 6" finished mat or 7" hoop art
Option #1 Includes:
- 3 skeins of Chunky Thread for pumpkin and background, plus 2 mini skeins for stem and leaves (Please note this is a generous amount of yarn, so it's probably enough for 2-3 of these, but the labor involved in rewinding mini skeins to include an exact amount of yardage would make the kit cost more than if we just included a full skein). The Chunky Thread is designed by Lori Holt for Riley Blake Designs.
- Weaver's Cloth for the background fabric
- 6" faux wood embroidery hoop* for display purposes or punching
- Wool felt for the back of the mat for if you decide to display on a table, rather than in the embroidery hoop
- Pattern and video tutorial
Option #2 Includes:
Everything list under Option #1, plus the Ultra Punch tool. The tool includes 3 different needle options, a needle threader, plus full instructions on how to use it.
Additional Information:
User will provide their own scissor, marking tool and iron.
*The provided hoop works to hold your piece when punching, but personally I prefer the Morgan Hoop lap stand when I do punch needle. It is an investment though, so it's something that would warrant purchasing if you plan to do more punch needle, other embroidery or quilting with it - not for a begginner project. This is why I have chosen not to include it in the beginner's kit. We do list it as an add on if you would like to purchase one. Images of this hoop are shown in the last four photos.
